Mary Rubenacker

Mary Rubenacker makes dense, brightly colored acrylic paintings. She repeats a smiling face motif, often several per painting, which she describes as a gathering of friends. These faces are set against backgrounds of dots, washes and shapes of color, which she describes as stained glass windows, like smiling faces bathed in light. Mary has been a participating artist at the Soul Studio since 2019.
